We Carry

We carry the grins

The belly laughs

The chubby cheeks

We carry the smiling eyes

The first steps

The shared naps

We carry the “I love you”

The hugs and kisses

The birthdays

We carry the could have been

The should have been

The memories

We carry the tears

The longing

The impossible good-bye

But most of all

We carry the love

The hope

The promise of One Day

We carry You

In our hearts

Always
